Awww yeah guys, gonna get my Fire Emblem on.
I recently made a new file on Shadow Dragon, and it's reminded me how much I adore this series.

So hop to it guys! Discuss!

Dear god, I LOVE Fire Emblem, though admittedly I haven't had time to play a console FE all the way through yet. I really hope they port/remake FE6 for the DS so I can play it legit on a handheld. The end of 7 was a little bit of a let-down since it was basically an ad for Japan-only FE6. I have an English-patched FE6 somewhere, but emulation's just not the same.

I've heard nothing but great things about FE6 (like how difficul it is, unf), but I'm not really one for emulators so I haven't played it.

The console FE games can be a real doozy, especially FE10. Jesus Christ that game was difficult. I felt like Jesus when I finished it though, pfft.

I played part of it a while ago, it was really fun and a good amount of hard. I've heard that they dumb down the difficulty for the US releases, which I really wish they wouldn't do (FE8 was dead easy). The characters in FE6 and FE7 are my favourites of all the FEs I've played and/or know about in detail. They're really well-designed; I'd have trouble picking a single favourite character in FE6 or 7 and I want to cosplay like everybody.

I actually found all the games save for FE8 to be pretty difficult.
FE10 was probably the hardest I've ever played. They do not play in that game. Ouch.
But man I know what you mean, FE7 is definately my favorite and I have so many favorite characters.
My main favorites would have to be Matthew and Canas.
But overall series favorite will always be Oscar from FE9/10.
He's the cutest thing since cute, it's also a bonus that he happens to make a rad unit overall.

Dude. That's funny because I was just thinking the other day of cosplaying Cain and millions of other characrers.
I looked up ways to make cosplay armor and everything.
Apparently, wonderflex is incredibly kick ass for such projects and is user friendly.

I just the whole class system bs

OH HEY REMEMBER HOW INDIVIDUAL UNITS WERE SUPPOSED TO HAVE VARYING STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES BASED ON THEIR CLASS TYPES

WELL NOT ANYMORE ANYONE CAN BE ANYTHING YOUR MAGE CAN BECOME A FALCOKNIGHT WHOO WHOO

I feel like as of late tf2 is pulling the same thing, what with the mad milk for the scout and the medic's crossbow and all those other class-bending items

On an also-fire-emblem-related note, I loved Radiant Dawn, haters gonna hate

Except Micaiah should have fallen in a ditch in like the 4th chapter and never come back ever again

I just never used it because I just liked everyone as they were.
I DON'T CARE IF CAIN MAKES A GOOD MYRMIDON, I COULD NEVER SEPARATE THE RED KNIGHT FROM THE GREEN KNIGHT.
(also I love cavalier classes so so much)

Radiant Dawn was a great game. Not my favorite, but it wasn't bad at all.
My only beef was the Dawn Brigade, save for Nolan I couldn't stand anyone from that pile of shit.
I hate Micaiah as well. Preach it sister, preach it.
It's only worth playing for Ike's Mercs.

I've been playing through Shadow Dragon myself for the last week. Really gotta love Merric and Hardin. As much as I like the game, I still like FE7 better. I'm also playing through the fan translation of FE6. Too bad we never officially got Roy's game here in the US...

Merric is infinitely useful in Shadow Dragon. I always make it a point to use him.
FE7 is my favorite not only for the nostalgia value (first FE game, though it was most everyone's first) but because of the nice story and cast.

Hm, maybe I should see to getting this emulator of FE6 if it's as rad as everyone's making it out to be.

Not sure if I like the new character designs. I prefer Senri Kita's work and the one who did 6+7+8.

Oh man oh man I love Fire Emblem. I haven't played any in a long time... though I guess part of that is due to my DS going missing somewhere. Well, I guess when the huge housecleaning project is finished and everything is back in place, it'll turn up...

Anyway, YES. Fire Emblem. I get way too attached to all my units. Whenever I 'ship something I keep them practically glued together during battles... it got so ingrained that I did that in a different strategy game where that kind of thing didn't matter...
