Riiight. Anyways, The classes should be familiar to anybody who's played the Battlefield games before, For those who haven't:
Assault is the general soldier class. He's got a assault rifle with a 40mm grenade/smoke/shotgun attachment and can throw down ammo boxes for his buddies.
The Engineer is the anti-tank/vehicle support class, He's got a suppressed SMG or carbine and a rocket launcher or AT mines, He's also got a power drill that can be used to repair vehicles or kill people.
The medic has a light machine gun and defib paddles for reviving teammates/shocking people to death, Like the assault he can throw down medkits to help the blood fall off your face faster. If you're not gonna be reviving people just go play Assault.
Recons (aka wookies) get sniper rifles and either C4 or some binoculars which call in a mortar strike. He also gets motion sensors, They're basically a grenade you throw out, and if any enemies are moving through it you hear a beeping and they show up on the mini-map.
Now, The guns, None of them are really better than the others. The AEK (Starring assault rifle) doesn't suffer from damage drop over distance. The 09A-91 (same for Engineer) deals the most damage of any non-recon weapon, With a 4x it's practically a sniper rifle.
The non-class specific weapons include assorted handguns (which will save your ass), a tracer dart gun, a Thompson SMG, M14 and G3 battle rifles and shotguns. Plus people who own previous Battlefield games get a M1 Garand. Assaults who pick one of them get C4 instead of a 40mm.
There are also the perks, You get three of them as you progress through the ranks. Two for your self and one for vehicles, They range from more/better ammo/explosives to body armor, red dot sights and improved accuracy. Whereas the Vehicle ones improve armor/reload rate/warhead damage or give you a coax MG.
Oh yeah, And if you want to actually help your team out, Spot stuff.
