That's right, the wildly successful Humble Indie Bundle is back with 5 new indie games and the same 'pay what you want' price.

I for one already had 2 of the games but grabbed it anyway. Cause it's always good to give a bit of money to charity and I got some games for it!

And, naturally, within hours of it going up, there are torrents up every-fucking-where. With people BITCHING ABOUT THE MAC RELEASE NOT BEING IN THE TORRENT IN THE COMMENTS

FFFFFFFF

Don't get me wrong, I'm all for Internet piracy, take a little back from the big corporations who overcharge for everything, ahoy me hearties. But this is a CHARITY. And you can pay ONE GORRAM DOLLAR. And they're indie games and not getting a lot of money in any case - my Mum got the collector's edition of Machinarium last week for $10! From EB Games! Where they usually charge$10 more than RRP anyway!

Sometimes I'm ashamed of the human race in general.

They just passed the $1 million mark. They're making buku bucks and since you can pay 0.01 dollars for it, I doubt the total of pirated copies would amount to more than a couple thousand bucks.

I'm not saying that it's not wrong to pirate it, but that it's not going to send them to the poor house.

>"We learned that piracy is inevitable—even when you let people literally give a penny to charity for DRM-free games, large percentages of people will still pirate the bundle," he said. "We learned that open source software is still commercially viable. After open sourcing a number of games in the bundle, none of our sales were negatively affected."

Just so people know, not only does this come with a key to redeem the games on Steam it now also has a key available for the original Humble Indie Bundle!

Humble Indie Bundle 3 is running, 12 days left.
The games are all by Frozenbyte:
Trine
Shadowgrounds
Shadowgrounds Survivor
Splot (Pre-order bonus)
Jack Claw (A unfinished alpha you get as a "bonus")

Guess they're running out of money for Trine 2. Trine is a great Lost Vikings style platformer, I highly recommend it. Shadowgrounds isn't as good but if you like Alien Shooter style arena games you'll probably enjoy it.
