Anyone else play these? I've only played the fourth one, Oblivion, and I can't stay away from the game. Talk about the series in general here.

OH MAH GAAAAAAAAAH

I have been a proud TESfag since Morrowind came out in 2002. I've been writing and drawing for it for almost that long. I love this shit like you wouldn't believe, holy fuck.

Oblivion is a pretty good game but I couldn't help but feel that it was horrendously poorly written and that too much focus went on the graphics and whatnot and not enough on the lore that made Morrowind great for me. Also the VAing sucks.

... I should play Oblivion today.

Indeed; I have yet to play Morrowind, so I can't say which is better, but from what I read on the wiki, it sounds pretty good.

I love Morrowind a lot and Oblivion is nice too, though I still prefer Morrowind. So many awesome fanmade additions, so much to explore, so much to do - Best timewaster EVER.

Morrowind reminds me of my childhood.
Oblivion is awesome with mods.
TESV is apparently in development, set in Elsweyr, so I heard.

SO GOOD.

I heard it would be in Skyrim or Summerset Isles.

Much as I'd love to see Elsweyr and Black Marsh, I would also completely be up for Skyrim.
Summerset Isles perhaps less so, but then, they sound nice enough this time of year...

Really enjoyed Oblivion and I love, love, LOVE The Shivering Isles. Best quests evar.
Oh and:
I saw a mudcrab the other day.

Yes, this. Morrowind looked so unlike every other fantasy game when it came out. Amazing atmosphere. Oblivion was like...hello!boring high fantasy setting. Shivering Isles made up for a BIT of it, but the main bulk of Oblivion was very...I dunno. Boring for lack of a better word.

Also, Lilarcor. BEST WEAPON MOD. I would run around the land for hours just hitting stuff and listening to that stupid sword talk.

I think most of the budget in Oblivion went to paying Piccard for voicing the Emperor.

One thing I found interesting about Oblivion was Martin's ironic titles related to the Martin Luthers in real life. The churches and temples in Oblivion have very post-reformation architecture, and during the oblivion crisis, he was the leader of fighting a great opression.
First he was a monk, then he was a king.

I'm such a dork.

I only ever played a little bit of Morrowind, and seeing as how it was my first Elder Scrolls game I lost interest quickly when I was very bad at it. I liked the argonians though.
Then I played Oblivion, and since it was a litle clearer on where I was supposed to go and what I had to do, I managed to catch on and my interest was revived.

I just wish we hadn't lost Morrowind, I'd like to give it a second try.
