(Sure hope SOMEONE here besides me has heard of this and or has played it).

Yume Nikki (lit. Dream Diary) is a 2005 independently produced surreal adventure PC game by homebrew Japanese developer Kikiyama.

This game is amazing, absurd, and overall disturbing in most places.

Anyone else heard of it and or played it? If so, discuss.

I read the manga but that's it I'm afraid.

I certainly have. Who'd forget a game that had a walleyed, piano-playing alien that piloted a spaceship?

I remember this. tried playing it for a bit, but some of the backgrounds just hurt my eyes after a while.

Some pretty messed up stuff though. hated the witches that transported you to a dead end spot

Something about Monoko really gets me antsy. I can't even explain why or how or what or AHHHHHH. She creeps me out on a level that isn't matched by Uboa.

Hahah, This game.
No I don't care how old this thread is.
Monoko is adorable, I have no idea how you'd be scared of her.

Monoko is rather disturbing... The thing that creeps me out the most is her sister Monoe...

...She stares into your soul.
