So have any good single player HL2 mods been released over the past couple years? Last one I played was the excellent Research and Development (Mr Whirly!) and that came out back in 2009.

Minerva: Metastasis - You are a former Combine working for someone named Minerva. You infiltrate a Combine facility on an island. The maker of this one got hired by Valve for his excellent level design.

The Citizen - You are a citizen and join the resistance. Lots of easter eggs.

Dangerous World - Starts with the destruction of the Citadel portal at the end of Half-Life 2. Basically Episode 1 from the point of view of some citizen. Some direct tie ins with Episode 1 events.

Combine Destiny - You are part of a Combine squad infiltrating a rebel base.

I think Dear Esther was also made with HL2, but it's not a mod or really, even a game as much as it is an interactive mystery.

My problem with Dear Esther was that the sound and music often drowned the narrator, so I couldn't make out what the hell he's saying.
