How 'bout a general 3D help thread. It could be for any program that allows you to model in 3D, like 3DS Max, Maya or Blender. Try using Google before asking a question here, though, because there are a lot of tutorials out there. If Google doesn't yield any answers, you can post here.

I'm using Maya 2011 right now. My issue right now is that my instructor wants my models to be 1/10th scale. I have no idea what this means or how to go about this. I only recently figured out how to use the distance tool, but I don't know how to get my objects to 1/10th scale with it. I don't even know if I'm using it right. I've looked everywhere on Google for how to use 1/10th scale, but I can't find anything.

Nevermind, I think I figured out what my instructor wants. He wants me to size my models to a tenth of what they'd be in real life in centimeters...I think. Durr...Well, I'm leaving this thread here just in case anyone else needs general 3D help. I'll try to help, too, if I'm able. Don't hesitate to ask :)

Okay...I need help again. I've been looking all over the internet for the exact length of a 4 axle diesel locomotive, and I can't find it anywhere. I need to know, so I can scale my train model correctly. Please help?

Thanks. I was confused about where this was suppose to go, since it's not TF2 related, but it has to do with 3D.

As for the size of the train, someone from Circlejerk Chat helped me out with that. My instructor said the size of my models is okay, now.
