No Masks, No Names - Spy/Fem Pyro Fanfiction (7)

1 .

Author's Note: So hey, I'm a bit new to the game here. This is literally my first post- though I was sure to comb through the rules and all that before posting. I originally wrote this fiction on Tumblr- please, don't run- and submitted it to a blog called dirtytf2confessions. This is a slightly polished version.

I hope you enjoy. All criticism is appreciated.

“Spy.”

In the basement of the RED base in 2Fort, the RED Spy was slouched across a computer desk in the Intel Room, doing the annoying busywork of adding information captured from BLU the previous day. The room, thankfully, was dark- and minus a strange light emanating from the RED intelligence briefcase from the room displayed in the window above and behind him as well as a dim desk light to read his papers, he was left to his work.

Or he had been. Until the Sniper had shown up.

“What.” he said, flatly, making none of his usual attempts to hide his accent, “Do you want, Sniper?”

“Oy, I was just wondering if you wanted to check out that Pyro in BLU. It’s been giving you a lot of trouble lately, 'asn’t it? Why don’t you just go over there tonight and…” The Sniper was normally a kind-hearted fellow, but towards his enemies on the opposite team, he was particularly cold. This was a new level for him, though.

“That’s against the rules and you know it,” Spy muttered, “I so much as step in that base tonight and Hale will be knocking on my door in the morning. Respawn only works in battle, too- I may not be particularly fond of that fire-spewing monster, but even I have standards. I thought you had them yourself, monsieur.”

The Sniper smirked at that and leaned on the desk beside Spy, watching him type with feigned interest. “Foyne, you don’t 'ave to kill it. But don’t you want to learn what’s behind that mask? What if it’s a woman?”

“What if? Ze Scout’s mother may have broken things off with moi, but that doesn’t mean I’m chasing tail when I see it, Sniper. I have some reservations against dating women that like to try to burn me to death on a daily basis. What does it even matter to you?” The Spy looked up at the Sniper, narrowing his eyes in suspicion, “What’s your game, Mundy? You’re acting fairly unusual.”

The Aussie shrugged. “I’m just sayin’, mate, if it’s giving you so much trouble, you oughta do something about it. Think 'bout how valuable that mask intel is. It’ll let us know about our own Pyro, too- 'aven’t you ever wondered what they are?”

Spy shuddered at the thought. “Raving lunatics? Sassy pyromaniacs? Unintelligible, gas-mask wearing morons?”

“Or,” the Sniper said, “Someone who may know more about what’s going on with all these fights. Or what’s been happening with Gray-”

“Quiet,” Spy hissed, “You aren’t supposed to know about that.”

“And you are?”

Spy smirked. “I have my reasons." he said, leaning back into his chair. "Regardless, it’s nothing to worry about. That man is just a ghost of the past. I doubt she even knows how useless it is to be tracking him.”

“…So that’s it, then? You don’t have any questions about what lies beneath that mask? Or what the person beneath may know?” The Sniper was surprised- normally if you teased the Spy with a bit of information or a question, he would become obsessed with finding the answer.

“Nope,” Spy said, “Don’t care.”

“Alright, then." Sniper walked away, "Goodnight, ya spook.”

Spy remained staring at his computer, paying no regard to the echoing footsteps of the Sniper as his teammate left the room.

****

At midnight, the RED Spy crossed the wooden bridge between the two bases and took a moment to gaze upon the BLU base. In his breast pocket was his trusty butterfly knife, in his left pants pocket was a dormant Dead Ringer. He had decided not to bring his gun- and if he needed to make an escape, his Dead Ringer would be just fine for making it.

On his left wrist was his normal Invis Watch, however, and before he stepped inside the base, he cloaked.

Due to the similar layout of the two bases, it wasn’t long before he found the room belonging to the BLU Pyro. Granted, he wasn’t sure- but the RED Pyro took the same room in their base, so…

Spy, still cloaked, opened the door.

Then he froze.

Both of the bases had identical living arrangements for the mercenary teams- they each had a room to themselves with a bed, a desk, a bookshelf, and a conjoining bathroom with a toilet and shower. On the right side of the bed was the bookshelf- on the left was a large window which opened into the badlands from 2Fort’s second floor.

What drew the Spy’s attention, however, was the steam apparent in the room, the light from the cracked bathroom door, and the sound of running water- which stopped just as he made two steps into the room.

He knew the BLU Pyro. It was vigilant, it was terrifying, and sometimes, he still had nightmares plagued with it. The Pyros were equally horrifying to him, but the BLU Pyro was different- mostly because the BLU Pyro was actually assigned to kill him and tended to do a pretty good job at it.

He froze in place because he knew it’d hear his footsteps if he tried to run now, and controlled his breathing so that it made nearly no sound beneath his facemask. The Pyro had once detected him for breathing too loudly, and he had learned fairly quickly to regret it.

Out of the bathroom walked a horrifying, disfigured, burnt monstrosity with glowing red eyes and a massive set of razor-sharp teeth.

Well, no.

It was a woman. A bit of weight on her, but mostly toned- which was understandable, considering her profession. She had sand-colored hair, blue eyes and light skin with the occasional burn mark streaking her face and the rest of her body.

She was wearing pajama bottoms. No top.

Spy diverted his eyes to respect his adversary’s modesty, staring at her feet as she started to walk around her room.

He took his steps carefully, timing them perfectly with hers so she wouldn't hear them- as if he were her dancing shadow- until he was beside her window, right beside an escape route that he sure as fuck wasn’t going to delay using. Just as he was about to climb out of the windowsill, however, his cloak wore off with a loud, distinctive noise that there’s no way the Pyro couldn’t have heard.

“Well well, if it isn’t a RED Spy.”

Her voice was surprisingly airy and carefree without her gas mask on. However, he could sense the rising fury in the undertones of her voice- and suddenly, he was very, very scared.

Not that he was about to show it.

“Apologies,” the Frenchman said, “I was just walking through. I meant you no-”

He felt her press against him from behind and he gave a shuddering exhale of breath, confusion and terror rising through his being as she wrapped an arm around his waist.

“No harm?” she hissed, mouth beside his ear, “What were you here for, then?”

“I, um-” when did I start stammering? “I wanted to s-see what was behind that mask.”

“Really? Why didn’t you ask Red? Better yet, why did you feel the need to be a pervert?” He felt her hand press against his chest and he trembled, praying to God that she wouldn’t find his knife and use it. He was going to die tonight, he realized. There would be no respawn.

“I s-swear, I- ah!”

“So you like being bitten, huh? You know, being in our base at night is against the rules. You better not be too loud…” her voice suddenly took on a sultry overtone as she bit harder into his shoulder, drawing a muffled, pained gasp from him, “Though I always did like it when you screamed…”

He was in for a long night.

****

The following afternoon, he was ever-grateful that his suit covered so much of his body.

She hadn’t played nice with him. If he were to be stripped down, bite marks would be seen all over his body- some light love bites, some rough- three on his neck, one for each of his shoulders, about four on his chest and abs, and a single one on his inner thigh. There were long, brutal cuts on his back as if he’d been clawed- and he had, because boy, her nails were sharp- and he could still taste blood in his mouth from when she’d bit him while they were kissing.

He was angry, though.

Gentleman though he was- or believed himself to be, anyways- he also believed in getting payback.

So when the fight for that day started, he told the Sniper to cover him while he crossed the bridge, which his friend(?) was more than happy to do.

He infiltrated 2Fort silently, trusting his team to put up a hell of a fight where it counted. The BLU Engineer was set up somewhere in the sewers- upon finding his teleporter, the Spy took a short detour to kill him and destroy the buildings he had tried to set up.

After that, he cloaked and made his way through the BLU base, finding himself in their intelligence room.

Alone. With her.

He uncloaked and raised his gun before she could react, aiming the long, silver barrel of his Ambassador right at her mask.

“Mmphy?” Spy?

“The very same, my dear.” he said, stepping towards her. She raised her flamethrower but, with glee, he noticed her hesitation to ignite him again. He was given free reign to step into her personal space, a malevolent grin on his face the entire time.

He stepped past the end of her flamethrower and, still holding his gun on her, took it from her and tossed it across the room. She was standing beside the intelligence desk, the BLU intel waiting teasingly for him or someone else on RED to steal its secrets.

“Mmmph phr huda hum hur?” What’re you doing here?

He gave a smirk and got behind her, switching his Ambassador for his knife and holding it to her neck. “Payback,” he whispered, “Better not be too loud. The last thing you’d want is for them to come down here, right?”

Her suit unzipped from the back, he found to his delight, pushing her until she was bent over the desk carrying the intel. His cock was straining its against its confines in his pants and he ground himself against her panty-covered ass, teasing himself and eliciting a little moan from behind her mask.

He put his knife away and pulled her panties down to her thighs, finding that she was more than ready for him.

He chuckled. She hmmph-ed.

He readied himself behind her and removed his cock from pants, finally, about to get what he’d been fantasizing about since the ending of last night's events.

“You ready?” he asked.

She gave a little nod.

He slammed himself into her- roughly, because she sure wasn’t gentle last night- eliciting a loud scream from behind her mask. “Quiet,” he said, “Wouldn’t want them to catch you getting fucked by a RED Spy, would you?” He punctuated his question with another rough thrust, giving a groan at the feeling of her.

He grabbed her waist and started to push and pull with his thrusts. “Look at the fearsome BLU Pyro,” he mocked, “Getting pounded by her worst enemy while her team puts their redeemable lives on the line floors above!”

He gave her ass a rough smack, remembering from last night that she liked it.

He never thought he would find the sounds she was making from behind that gas mask so fucking sexy, and he had never been quite so pleased to be wrong.

She grasped at the desk and he held her waist, lifting her feet off the floor and fucking her as hard as he could, payback for all the times she’d spychecked him, airblasted him over a ledge, foiled one of his kills, set him on fire, shot him, axe’d him, vaporized him- he moaned- bitten him, rode him, clawed him and screamed his name.

He gave a loud moan, groaning a name that she hadn't been allowed to tell him as he came inside her, thrusting as deep as he could and holding himself inside for a few beautiful moments, removing his mask for some air before pulling out.

Wordlessly, she got herself dressed and he cloaked before she turned around, taking his mask and putting it on before decloaking.

She knew his name- his real name- because he had told her last night. She had returned the favor, but...

“Mmhy mman I phee hur mmmph?” Why can’t I see your face?

He sighed. “I might let you see if I can have that intel.”

“Hmmphe.” Please.

He smirked and turned his back. “You win, then, mon petit chou-fleur. I’ll be back tomorrow.” At the exit to the room, he removed his mask, revealing a head of pitch-black hair before his cloak reactivated.

After these events, the RED Spy and BLU Pyro found themselves in a very peculiar relationship. During the day, they usually fought each other like they always had on the various battlefields being fought over by the Mann. Brothers- at night, he would sneak into the BLU base. Sometimes they would just talk. Sometimes they'd have each other, and other times, they did nothing at all.

The night of their first time, he had given her his name but he refused to remove his mask. She had willingly given her name and her mask and, eventually, the Spy found himself returning the favor.

-End-

Author's Closing Notes: I hope that wasn't too underwhelming! I'm not very experienced in the area of smut writing, and my normal writing could probably use a lot of work, too. As you can see by the mentions of Gray, this fiction doesn't ignore TF2 canon- and the Pyro's insanity will be explained if I ever get to writing a continuation of this tale. It was not ignored.

I liked it, though it seemed a bit short. Perhaps write a mid-quel (or whatever it would be called) if their first night together? I kind of have a thing for rough sex, and would love to see spy get dominated :3

3 .

I'm really glad you liked it!

I'm not sure if I can write a mid-quel, though. I mean, I love the scenario and it'd definitely be hot, but I'm not quite so confident in my ability to write that yet. I mean, this is my first serious smutfic- I don't think I can do a scene like that justice until I get better.

I guess you raise a valid point. I'll write that when and if I get more feedback on this piece, though.

if you aren't going to read why did you enter the topic
seriously, man, it says "Fem Pyro" in the title

Incoming teal deer.

1) If the point of the first scene was to give Spy motivation to go over to the other side, it wasn't presented well. Did Sniper convince Spy after all, and Spy was just pretending? Or did Sniper fail, but Spy change his own mind afterward?

Also, RED Spy's deeply in love with BLU Scout's mother. If she broke things off with him, you'd think he'd be a little more affected, even if he wouldn't show it or admit it to anyone else. Wouldn't he be trying to get back into her good graces?

2) A nitpick: in gameplay, Spy can only have one watch at a time, so him packing 2 of them threw me out of the story for a bit. If the narrative explained a little of Spy's mindset at this point--maybe he figured that since he'd be breaking rules by sneaking over after hours, he might as well go the whole hog and take extra precautions--I'd buy it. Also, he also could've been extra cautious and went in his Saharan Spy set to give him a quieter uncloak noise, especially since said cloak going off is what gives him away.

3) Speaking of his cloak, Spy was not being very smart with it. If he was wearing the default invis watch, he would've only had 9 seconds worth of invisibility. How did he find the Pyro's room, go into it, and play shadow tag with her in the span of a single cloak duration? If he was wearing the Cloak and Dagger, then at some point(s) on his he would've had to stop and let the cloak recharge--and adding that into the narrative would've helped a lot with increasing the tension in the scene.

4) At no point did I ever feel that Spy was in any real danger. You should have told us from the very beginning of the second scene that he was flirting with death, since respawn is off at night and he's going into a base full of people besides BLU Pyro who would've been more than glad to kill him. Show him tiptoeing through the hallways, picking locked doors open, dodging patrols, etc.

5) This is massively ironic coming from the queen of vague narrative, but even I thought you could've used more detail. What little you have in narrative or dialogue tends to be in summary mode. Some examples:

Due to the similar layout of the two bases, it wasn’t long before he found the room belonging to the BLU Pyro.
So where is the BLU Pyro's room? Explain the layout in terms that at least someone who has played the games would understand. And it's okay to make things up if there's no canon information.

“I s-swear, I- ah!” “So you like being bitten, huh?
Add the fact that the Pyro bit him in the narrative. Where did she bite him? How did she know that Spy liked it? Or he didn't, and she was just making assumptions?

She hadn’t played nice with him.
Why not give us all of the details in the actual sex scene, as opposed to the day after? Did Spy try to get away during any of this? Could he overpower her, or was she stronger than him? Was he a consenting partner, or did he get aroused and mounted against his will? If the latter, wouldn't that make him feel more than just "angry"?

6) BLU Pyro's motivations make no sense to me at all. Why didn't she kill him, but have sex with him instead? Why consent to having sex the day after when Respawn is on and her job is to protect the Intelligence? Where were the rest of RED and BLU such that they could fuck for several minutes with nobody barging in on them?

Her suit unzipped from the back
Why? Wouldn't it be way easier for her to dress and undress herself if the suit unzipped from the front? Or does someone on BLU know her secret and helps her? Plus, if it undressed from the back, he would've also had to remove the air tank and all those belts, whereas if it unzips from the front he'd probably only have to loosen them a little.

(An aside: The battles last long enough for everybody to at least need to pee--Demoman's losing animation is proof of that--so Pyro's probably wearing an adult diaper. Adding that little detail in might kill the sexual tension, but personally, I'm a fan of having a bit of lol in my porn.)

7) They had sex once, and they're already telling each other their real names? Why?

After these events, the RED Spy and BLU Pyro found themselves in a very peculiar relationship.
Well, don't just tease us with that if that's what you're planning to have happen in the future, give us details! Do they just fuck, or do they start having feelings for each other? How do they keep their relationship a secret, not just from their own teammates, but from the Administrator? If Gray Mann is already a factor in your story, then why hasn't he attacked with his robots? If he has, then why are RED and BLU still fighting each other?

9) What was the point of BLU Pyro being female? Having a male BLU Pyro changes literally nothing about the story unless you're portraying RED Spy as 100% straight, and even then that's worth exploring as a plot point.

8 .

Alright, this is the kind of criticism I was looking for. I'll address your points individually.

1) Sniper's urging did convince Spy to go to the other side, yeah- but the reason Spy was like "naw man idgaf" was because the against-the-rules thing. Sniper and Spy in this story are friends- kinda- but Spy doesn't trust him that much. Being caught violating the rules means getting fired or getting killed, and if I ever write a continuation, I'm definitely going to flesh that out.

About Spy's feelings towards the BLU Scout's mother- at this point, it's been a long time since the two broke things off. The reasons are unsaid in the story, but it's more or less the whole "you murder/help murder my son on a daily basis" thing.

2) and 3) Yeah, I should've said something about that. The Dead Ringer is a remnant for my original idea for the story- there was going to be a time when it was used, but I decided against it. The Invis Watch's extended cloak time was more or less "just cause"- and while using the Cloak and Dagger did cross my mind, my utter hatred of that watch deterred me.

4) Well, respawn not working outside of the daily battles had been mentioned during Sniper and Spy's conversation. Sniper had been implying at the beginning that Spy should've just gone over and killed Pyro in her sleep to save himself the future trouble, which is why Spy went on a thing about rules and respawn and all that.

5) Yeah, I'm kind of bad about vague narratives myself. This was a special case, though- since people reading TF2 fiction are probably also players of TF2, I didn't feel the need to go out of my way to describe the layout of 2Fort or the extensions for the Merc's living areas- my mistake.

The bite was a stylistic choice. While I didn't mean to take out where she had bitten- his shoulder, actually- using the dialogue alone to imply its occurrence rather than just writing it out seemed like a good idea.

6) The inner machinations of her mind are an enigma.
If I had to give a list of reasons for her to fuck him instead of murdering him the first night, it'd be the following:
1. She was unarmed at the time.
2. The reason crossing bases at night is against the rules is exactly because of the whole "killing your worst enemy in their sleep" thing. The Pyro didn't feel like violating that rule.
3. Inexplicable "man I want to fuck that person" rule in porn. As an added detail, she kind of gets off on being a sadist- if I were to describe more of their matches against each other, she'd be the kind of Pyro that stays around the base solely for the purpose of foiling and fucking with spies.
In this case, I guess "fucking with" was the first thing that came to mind.

She didn't kill him when he came to the intel room because he openly decloaked in front of her. He made no attempts to attack- so she gave him the benefit of the doubt. Also, the consent in the second scene was more of a reluctance factor- the dude did hold a knife on her so she would cooperate, after all.

Also, about the unzipping from the back- fuck. I actually managed to completely forget about the tanks and the difficulty getting the suit off that implies. The match lasting so long and nobody coming down was because lol, porn plot, but I usually find that 2Fort between two experienced teams comes to a standstill real quickly.

About the bathroom thing- well, I don't think I've actually seen Demo's losing animation. Even so, most of the matches I've been in never last more than about thirty minutes- worst case scenario, a standstill makes a match last a few hours and if someone can't hold it, they find a place to go. Maps're big.

Sniper, for one, does not give a fuck.

7) A reason related to dirty talk during the first night. I initially planned on writing that part, but I decided against it due to lack of confidence in my ability to write that, as you saw earlier in this thread.

The lack of details there is intentional- if I ever write a continuation, I have a lot of actual plot threads to pursue. An MvM scenario is something I have in mind if I make this more than just some porn oneshot.

I'm not sure if you knew, but there's easter eggs in many of the maps if you use noclip or go into spectator. These easter eggs go back quite a while, and in them you can see some of the classes viewing incredibly low-res photos of the robots- from that, I drew the conclusion that Gray Mann was already a known factor, but that the assassination of his brothers was an unexpected move from him.

Also, what happened to 8)? Too cool for ya?

9) I originally wrote this fic because a friend of mine said I wouldn't. The challenge was with a female Pyro, so I went with that.

I'm bisexual myself, though- and I actually planned on writing an unrelated story with the BLU Spy and the RED Sniper. Yay for the yaois, I guess. (that is literally the worst joke I've made in my life and I'm sorry)
