Another excellent chapter, I really liked it. I especially liked this part: He fought back, his mind horrified by the skeletal face that was trying to drag him into its corpse. This serpent was beyond spiteful. I'm used to monsters that keep fighting after getting killed (zombies are basically that), but a monster whose skeleton rips out of the corpse to keep fighting after death? Now that's something I've never seen before, and awesomely freaky to boot.
