I think this is more a matter of people realizing it's okay to express their disgust over this story. Nobody suddenly decided to hate on it, they just saw they weren't a maverick loner in a forum full of people who love pointless exploitation dolled up as something deeper. You're mature not to throw a hissy-fit over the fact that a bunch of people came out and admitted they can't stand this story.
