SPC actually started out as a creepypasta site, that later grew further and larger. So there are shout-outs galore. Part of the fun is seeing if you can spot any reinvented mythic or fictional content in the SCPs. I don't personally see any of the team as dumb. I like to think that Heavy has a much more analytical mindset than Scout does, which leads to pattern recognition with fragmentary evidence. Mind you, it's all too easy for anyone to dismiss hunches through overenthusiastic use of Occam's Razor, like Demo did.
