As always, I'm sad to see a good story come to its end, but happy to have enjoyed the ride. There will always be unanswered questions in a scenario like this, maybe things I would have liked more exposition for, or more background, but that's part of a mystery. Even if I'm curious, it probably would have ruined some things if you had gone out and spoon-fed us the answers. Likewise, a perfect, sap-happy ending for all of the star-crossed lovers would have been... well, I guess the best way to describe it is too sweet. I kind of enjoy a bittersweet ending for a change, that leaves the reader (and the characters) wanting, but doesn't eliminate the possibility that they may someday find each other. Lack of sage because it's slipped off the front page, and I'm a slackass who forgot to write my thanks/post-mortem to the author a week ago.
