I don't know where exactly this fic is heading but even after that previous chapter I'm actually secretly hoping this will be Soldier/Medic focused... Do keep it going as you have planned though, I know I'm gonna read it anyway. Soldier's patriotic tirades against his non-american comrades seems like a custom in nearly every fic, no? Still, I liked your take on it; the one where he spoke about kicking Hitler's ass back to Berlin had to be my personal favorite!
