Another great chapter. I really enjoyed the dialogue, it was funny and lighthearted while still bringing up the seriousness of the situation. And the exchange of apologies is good development for the relationship, they are getting closer in a realistic way. One note, though. It has been three whole days since the explosions, and they haven't eaten anything since then. Even if they are though men, it's hard to buy that they are still so lucid, I'd think at least Sniper would pass out from having to keep driving all day long on such a terribly empty stomach. Can't you slip in a mention that Sniper bought some food before going back to the van after blowing up the building? It wouldn't take him more than a few minutes to do that, and it would handwave the problem of starvation.
