>Feather Really, using some accents such as 'zis' instead of'zhis' wouldn't work, as they clash accents; "Hon hon hon, zis is a french accent" and "hah hah hah, zhis is a german accent", if you will. It's simply the standard I've seen in various fics; I don't know about anybody else, but I read certain words in certain accents because it's how said population phonetically pronounces said english word. Switching between two 'dialects' as they are is jarring in a sentence; "Don't vorry your head at zis moment, mein Krake." sounds like someone switching from german to french, as if they were bi-lingual and confusng words (it can happen!) If this was part of the cannon, then woo hoo! if not, it is, as aforementioned, jarring. On a shorter note, I agree with the idea that changing words to make them sound more like a character's canon is a little silly, especially when you have multiple characters playing the same role; what is the possibility that you would hire two doctors for the same secretive job from the same part of germany, hence the same accent? Also, if whoever-this-new-medic-even-though-he-was-from-seven-years-ago changed himself significantly to avoid blue and get into red, why is it that his accent hasn't changed? They'd pick up on his voice hot as toasted tea cakes if they were hounding him as well as I assume they were. That aside, awesome fan fic!
