Eh, Heavy and Medic has been kind of a taken for granted thing in this story and my last. Admittedly, this is the first time the narrative has swapped to Heavy's point of view; up until now, one could legitimately suggest that Medic is just abnormally fond of his meatshield to the point he calls him "mein schatz", and Heavy is either somehow oblivious and doesn't know what that means, or just isn't bothered by his co-worker hitting on him. The first half of the story focused on them regularly up until the point that them and Pyro got killed, so I guess I just felt kind of like Alfred Hitchcock (or maybe a careless writer who axes some cast members because they've had their dramatic moments, but nothing further is planned with them and someone has to be "the guy that dies to prove the situation is serious".) I guess I kind of wanted to reassure someone (maybe myself?) that I hadn't totally forgotten about them, and I wasn't betraying my ambition of writing a story that came off looking like "Team Sniper and Spy and some insignificant guys in the background".
