Too bad Engie wasn’t awake to enjoy it too! Well, I can always hope there’ll be a sequel to this story... Sorry, but I really hope not. I loved this story as a straightforward PWP about an obsessive stalker who non-consensually sleeps with his oblivious friend. A sort of porn darkfic, with the creepiness enhancing the sexiness. If the author tried to turn it into cutesy affair where Engineer suddenly decides that, hey sure, why not, he could sleep with Soldier after all, it would turn my opinion of the story from "this is hot" to "this is bullshit." Either a porn story is about consensual sex ot it's about rape. Both can be hot, but attempting to mix them by writing a consensual sex story as a sequel to a rape one would produce a shitty sequel and retroactively ruin the original. Or the sequel could be a rapefic too. But if Engineer is aware of Soldier raping him, I'd fully expect him to permanently kill Soldier at the end. (Speaking of, Engineer is always the one who handles Respawn in fanfiction. Is there any fic where Engineer gets pissed off at one of his teammates and turns off the teammate's Respawn to get rid of him?)
