I get really discouraged coming to the chan anymore because I want to post my work and get polite crits, but this isn't 2008-2009 anymore and I just see a lot of dickery being tossed around.

Hopefully, though, I get this job for the summer and I can take the time to look for another full time job.

After lots of IRL drama, I find myself wandering back here looking for old friends, or at least old draw buddies. It's very weird not having a community or niche to just casually go back into.
I've been trying to draw again and have been hoping to find a buddy, mentor, or hell anybody to just look at what I have and critique it. I haven't drawn in so long and I'm trying to get back into it, I really miss making things.

Assuming Pyro isn't British, I kind of wondered why TF2 has no British class. And then I realized that British humour is essentially the tenth class- "hats are funny" is an onrunning gag in a lot of British shows.

Thank you, but I already have my TV hooked up to my computer and it works fine. The problem now is Steam. Just a question, but if I uninstall and reinstall Steam, you said I'd have to add all my friends and groups all over again? I really don't want to do that. Some groups I'm in are white-list only, and it was a BITCH to get through (took about 3 weeks of waiting time to get listed and all the privileges). Also, I've looked, and a lot of people who have had the same problem said uninstalling Steam didn't help the problem.

As for antivirus things, I have avast!, but it's never interfered with Steam before. Assuming it IS the antivirus software, how would I go about fixing the problem without leaving myself defenseless in the cold, harsh, internet landscape?

I don´t know if your antivirus is REALLY the problem. As i said maybe there is a other programm of yours who is suddendly playing bitchy on you. Or you have a virus which went through your antivir and now is troubeling you. (It happened to the best of PC´s.)

There are other free antivir programms out there who can help. On the steamsite they even have some links to such ones (and to ones who remove viruses).

To the deinstall/install thing. Asked again, no your account will still be in the steam maindata bank. It is just so your steam application is deleted from your pc, but your account still remains. I´m sorry for confusing you, but it just happened that it reminded me on a friend who has sometimes troubles with steam, too and we went through weird things already with his accounts.

The steam client was just recently updated. Maybe it was broken through the new update by you now?

I'm going to have to agree with you there. When I googled the girl's name nothing in the news came up. It was simply going viral in social media websites. Seems to me like if my daughter went missing the first thing I would do would be to contact the proper authorities, not create a video with the background music being a song from the father's own band. It just seems super fishy that all these kids have been disappearing lately and the parents have "no idea" what happened to them. That's my two cents.

saw Kung Fu Panda 2, reaction was mixed.
It's an awesome movie with fantastic action scenes, but I don't think they mixed the humor in too well. Dreamworks humor usually makes or breaks their movies for me, the first movie was wonderfully balanced but this one... seems a bit shaky.
Plus I strongly feel that the last fast scene could have gone more epically.
But aside from that, it made me laugh, nearly brought me to tears, and has left fuzzies in my heart, so I think it turned out okay in the end.

Saw Super 8. Much better than expected.

Carey is Pyro's son, I'm convinced. Or he grows up to become Michael Bay.
